What is an immobilizer and why won’t my car start?
An automotive immobilizer is a security system that prevents the engine from starting unless it recognizes a valid transponder signal from the key. When the immobilizer module fails, it blocks fuel injection or ignition even if the key itself is fine. Common symptoms: engine cranks but won’t fire, security light flashing continuously, or a “Key Not Detected” message on the dash.
Do I need to send my keys along with the module?
