Terms of Service

1. Services

ShipYourECU provides mail-in automotive electronic module repair and programming services including ECU, TCU, BCM, immobilizer, key coding, and ADAS module repair. All services are performed by ShipYourECU, Houston, TX. Services are available to customers in all 50 United States via mail-in only. We do not offer in-person drop-off service.

2. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes provided before receipt of your module are estimates based on information you supply. Final pricing is confirmed after we receive and diagnose your module. We will contact you with the final price before beginning any repair work. You are under no obligation to proceed after receiving a final quote. If you decline, we return your module at no charge.

3. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of repair, before return shipment. We accept all major credit cards. Payment must be received before the repaired module is shipped. Declined or disputed payments that are later determined to be valid will incur a $35 processing fee.

4. Shipping — Inbound

You are responsible for safe packaging and shipping of your module to us. We are not responsible for damage that occurs during inbound shipping due to improper packaging. We strongly recommend following our Shipping Guide and adding carrier insurance for modules valued over $100. Include your name, contact information, vehicle details, and a description of the problem in every shipment.

5. Turnaround Time

Standard turnaround is 48–72 business hours from receipt of your module. Rush 24-hour service is available at an additional charge. Turnaround times are estimates and may be affected by parts availability, diagnostic complexity, or volume. We will notify you if your repair will take longer than the standard timeframe.

6. Warranty

All repairs are covered by a 6-month warranty beginning on the date of return shipment. The warranty covers recurrence of the same fault repaired. It does not cover new or unrelated failures, physical damage after return, damage caused by other failed vehicle components, or modifications made after leaving our facility. 7. Money-Back Guarantee

If we cannot repair your module, we return it at no charge and issue a full refund of all repair fees paid. This guarantee applies when we determine the module is unrepairable or when our repair fails to resolve the original fault after a second attempt. It does not apply to damage caused by improper inbound packaging or to faults unrelated to the original repair.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service performed. We are not liable for vehicle downtime, towing costs, rental car costs, lost wages, or any consequential or incidental damages arising from module failure or from the repair process. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific repair in question.

9. Unclaimed Modules

If a repaired module is not paid for and claimed within 30 days of repair completion, we will attempt to contact you by email and phone. If no response is received within 60 days of completion, the module may be considered abandoned and disposed of. We are not liable for any loss arising from abandoned modules.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Harris County, Texas.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
