Contact us first and get a free quote. We’ll confirm your module is repairable, give you a price range, and let you know if there’s anything specific to include. Then follow the steps below.
Step-by-Step Packaging Guide
- Remove the module from your vehicle carefully. Label each connector or take a photo before disconnecting anything — this makes reinstall straightforward.
- Wrap in anti-static bubble wrap or foam padding. Anti-static material protects the circuit board from electrostatic discharge during transit. Never place loose packing peanuts directly on an electronic module.
- Place in a rigid cardboard box. Use a box with at least 2 inches of padding on all six sides. The module should not shift when you shake the box.
- Include a note inside the box with: your full name, phone number, email address, vehicle year / make / model / engine size, the module type and part number (if known), and a description of the problem or fault codes.
- Ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS with tracking. Any carrier works. Add declared value insurance for modules valued over $100 — carrier insurance is inexpensive and covers loss or damage.
- Email us your tracking number at support@shipyourecu.com so we can watch for your package and have your order prepped when it arrives.

Which carrier should I use?
Any carrier works — UPS, FedEx, and USPS are all fine. Use whatever is most convenient. The only requirement is a tracking number so both you and we can monitor the shipment.
Should I insure the package?
Yes, we recommend it for any module valued over $100. Carrier insurance is inexpensive (typically $1–2 per $100 of declared value) and covers loss or damage during transit. We are not responsible for damage that occurs during inbound shipping.
What if my module is damaged during shipping to you?
If your module arrives damaged due to inadequate packaging, we’ll contact you before proceeding with an updated assessment. This is why proper packaging matters — follow the guide above and your module will arrive safely.
How long will my vehicle be without the module?
Most repairs are completed in 48–72 business hours from receipt. Add 1–3 days for inbound shipping and 1–3 days for return Ground shipping depending on your location. Most customers are without their vehicle for 5–8 business days total.
Can I get expedited return shipping?
Yes. 2-Day and Overnight return shipping options are available. Ask us when you contact us for a quote and we’ll include the expedited shipping cost in your estimate.
