ECU Repair FAQ
How do I know my ECU is the problem and not a sensor?
Fault codes in the P06xx range that point specifically to the ECU module (not peripheral sensors), U-code communication errors referencing the ECU, and no-start conditions where all sensors test fine are strong indicators. A scan tool pointing to the ECU module itself — not downstream components — is your clearest sign.
Will the repaired ECU be plug-and-play?
Yes. We program the ECU to your specific VIN and factory calibration before shipping it back. In most cases it is plug-and-play with no dealer visit needed. Some vehicles may require a brief idle relearn cycle after installation.
What if my ECU has water damage?
Water damage is repairable in many cases. We inspect the board, clean corrosion, replace damaged components, and retest on the bench. We’ll diagnose it and contact you with a repair assessment before proceeding.
How long does ECU repair take?
Most ECU repairs are completed in 48–72 business hours from receipt. Rush 24-hour service is available for an additional $75–$100. We ship the same day repair is completed.
What if you can’t fix my ECU?
If we cannot repair your ECU, we ship it back at no charge and issue a full refund. No fix, no fee. That’s our money-back guarantee.
What vehicles do you repair ECUs for?
All makes and models — Ford, Chevy/GM, Dodge/Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai/Kia, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and more. Contact us if you’re unsure about your specific vehicle and module part number.
